PIÑATA
I created this art installation as part of Carnegie Mellon's annual Playground Festival. With a hand-made piñata, media, sound, and photographs, we depicted life at the Mexico/US border and among the migrant caravan traveling through South and Central America.
The installation was a personal project that touched on issues close to home. I used real photos of those making the journey, seeking asylum, and hoping to reconnect with loved ones. This multi-media installation resembled a young girl's birthday party left abandoned and disrupted by I.C.E.
