Hey! My name is Renee Madrigal and I'm a director, writer, dramaturg, and cultural scholar. I have a Bachelor of Humanities and Arts (BHA) with concentrations in Drama and Anthropology from Carnegie Mellon University. With conservatory training in dramaturgy, international training in anthropology, and a passion for the intersection of the two, I am committed to responsible, equitable, and diverse storytelling.
My current goal is to work with those who share my desire to create a better future through culturally relevant art. In the long term, I hope to create a production company to support the movement of nonwhite and indigenous resurgence in film, television, and digital media. I'm a proud Xicana, originally from Norwalk, California, just outside of Los Angeles. I have two wonderful parents, Raul and Kristine, and an older sister named Natalie. And I can't forget our beautiful and lazy bulldog named Tank. I'm grateful to be pursuing an artistic career and I look forward to a lifetime of meaningful and creative projects. |
